Our Cattery is situated on the convenient A30, set back and invisible from the road and bordered by tranquil woodland. Our guests can enjoy watching the local birds, butterflies, squirrels rabbits and our own chickens play.
The Cattery chalets have been manufactured from natural wood by Lindee Lu to International Cat Care standards (formerly Feline Advisory Bureau). They are designed so each guest has a run with an outside view, whilst also having a private, heated indoor sleeping area when they want peace and quiet.
Our Cattery accommodation is all inclusive. We have a range of dry and wet food and will feed at the same frequency you provide for your cat at home. Please note, specialised food such as veterinary diets or grain free will need to be provided by you.
Our guests are also provided with a comfortable bed and fleecy blankets both in the bed and on the internal and external shelves, so there is always something cosy to curl up on. We provide scratching posts, toys, litter trays, fresh water and plenty of cuddles and company. We are happy for you to bring in any of your own items that will help your cat settle in.
All of our litter trays, bowls, bedding and toys are thoroughly disinfected in between each guest, so your cat is always in a clean, safe environment.
At Happy Tails Yeovil Cat Hotel, we understand that leaving a cherished pet with strangers can be a worrying time for both owners and cats alike. Therefore, we pride ourselves on the individual care and attention we can give each cat being a small Cattery.
During your cat’s stay, he/she will receive the all the fussing any pampered feline could wish for. We have daily play sessions for the younger ones with a variety of cat-safety approved toys. For the older ones, a radio is available on request to provide some entertainment as well as brushing and stroking sessions.
We believe while you’re relaxing on holiday your cat should be too

About Lindee Lu, our cattery builders
Lindee Lu have been designing, manufacturing and installing licenced boarding catteries and rescue pens for 45 years.
Lindee Lu catteries meet all the requirements of the CIEH (2013) guidelines. Their full height walk in chalet pens have a fully insulated and lined sleeping compartment which has two interior plastic shelves, the walls are white, washable and fully impervious. The slimline panel heaters are fitted during the manufacturing process making sure all the cables are chased within the insulated walls leaving a cable free, easy clean environment.
Their quality timber is dipped in an animal friendly solution especially designed for Lindee Lu by one of the UK’s leading wood paint specialists. This dipping process not only stains the wood a beautiful oak colour but coats it with resins and waxes making it easy to clean and scratch resistant. None of the wood touches the ground as the panels and houses are fitted with solid rubber strips allowing cleaning without touching the wood.
Lindee Lu designed ‘Lift off Shutters’ some years ago. These act like windows and can be removed in the summer months leaving just the mesh walls. Cats love to have the feeling of being outdoors and, for health purposes, ventilation and air flow is vital. The shutters can be popped back in during the cold and wet weather, closing the cattery up to harsh wind and rain keeping your guests cosy and warm. Customers very often say they don’t know what they would do without the shutters because ventilation in the hot summer months can be a real problem, especially with sealed uPVC units.
Timber is a naturally insulating material offering increased thermal efficiency over uPVC. It has a negative GWP (global warming potential) whereas uPVC production involves the release of very poisonous chemicals of which six have been listed by the Governments of Europe for priority elimination. Using timber from sustainable sources makes it, by far, the more environmentally friendly.
As with anything, wood does need to be looked after but, when maintained annually, there is no reason why the cattery will not last for well over 50 years. uPVC boasts a lifespan of 35 years and shouts about being ‘maintenance free’. That’s why there is now special paint to “Transform weathered and discoloured uPVC”.
All buildings are 100% handmade by their team of expert craftsmen and women and they are proud to have catteries throughout the UK, from the Highlands of Scotland to Southern Cornwall.
Approved by International Cat Care (formerly FAB) their major customers include Cats Protection, Blue Cross, RSPCA and many other smaller Charities which rely on quality products and first class customer service.
